The Alderville Learning Centre is part of the overall program structure of Alderville First Nation.  Alderville's Chief, Councilors, and Administrator provide overall direction of all programs and services provided by Alderville First Nation.  


 

PROGRAMS

Alderville First Nation programs include the Learning Centre, Library, Education, Social Services, Health, Daycare, Community Centre, Student Services, Economic Development,  Administration and Finance, Public Works, and Economic Development.

 AFFILIATIONS

 Alderville First Nation is a member of the Union of Ontario IndiansAssembly of First Nations, and the Ogemawahj Tribal Council.

 

 

LEARNING CENTRE FACILITIES

Computer Lab - The lab is equipped with ten public access terminals with the latest software and internet access via satellite.  An additional five public access terminals are available within the classroom and library.  Other media equipment include laptops, LCD projector, video equipment, and digital cameras.  Occasional rental is available.  

           

 

 

 

Classroom - The classroom provides an area for Ojibway language instruction, workshops such as True Colours or Business Development, and an area for student tutoring.  The classroom is equipped with tv/vcr equipment, white boards, and overhead.  Occasional rental is available.   

 

Resource Materials - The Learning Centre & Library has a broad range of resources - books, videos, software - to help meet client/student need.  Non-band members are required to purchase a $10 per year library membership card in order to sign out resources.
