The L.I.F.E. program (Learning Incentives for Employment) includes:

The Alderville Learning Centre is an Identifiable Group - Partner Program for the Independent Learning Centre, Ministry of Education. Visit ILC on-line at to see what is offered!

The ILC facilitator on staff at the Alderville Learning Centre can assist you in discussing options and enrollment requirements. There are many options available and the ILC courses and system requirements have been developed to meet varied needs (mature students, those with special needs).

Course exams are written on-site at the Alderville Learning Centre with a qualified teacher/test supervisor. Funding may be available to you to cover course costs. ILC provides access to the following:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma Courses

General Educational Development (GED) Testing

English as a Second Language Courses

Maturity/Equivalent Credits and Prior Learning Assessment Recognition towards the OSSD. Please see course guide.
